Having blocked all the exit and entrances to the upper floor but most importantly the top penthouse, I began to turn my attention to the food massing. The small garden, promised to the hotel as a green paradise in the middle of the city according to the brochures left behind, was more than enough for my usage. Getting the fruit seeds turn out to be hard. Just when I said to myself to avoid shopping malls, I had to make a trip back to the garden section to pick some seeds. Armed with my trusty sharpened shovel, I made a trip to a nearby shopping mall and had my greatest fear manifest itself.
Survival dictates that I needed a new place to stay. The big problem now is that I have survived for far too long for a living creature and food is becoming very scarce. About a year ago, I was still able to raid supermarkets for food and what not but that is not an option that I can partake willy nilly anymore. I do believe that there might be some food left, forgotten by the early marauders and the subsequent thieves, but as time passes, I'm beginning to think that those places should not be avoided at all costs.
Being out in the open again after what seemed like an eternity underground is rather unnerving. The heat of the sunlight and the vastness of everything make me stopped for moment. Only the shifting of the shadows and the eerie feeling of being watch sprung me into action. The first thing that I did was to look for my old hideouts again.
It has been almost a year since my last post. An update is needed.
Trapped. No power. Death all over. Malaysia is doomed. Anyone else?
It all started with a food run turned sour and now I am trapped in an old building with very little access to the internet... Will update the next cycle if able...
Damn.
I shouldn't have move out of my comfort zone. It all began like any normal food run but one thing lead to another and now I find myself in a death trap. Central Market turned to be a nest for undead and I was running for my life when they jumped on me. Well, not jumped but fell down from the first floor and knocked me down. That thing pinned me down long enough for the rest of them to come closer.
I had so little sleep, the station now seemed even less safe than before. The night passed without a hitch but I still couldn't close my eyes completely. Today was another day of scavenging but luckily there was no encounter. Tomorrow I would try to get to Central Market.
I knew it, they were waiting for me.
Even though the area surrounding the station are littered with old shophouses, getting supplies were hard. Many of the places were already raided and many edible were spoilt by time. Death were all apparent with corpses lying around in barricaded houses and inside cars. It filled me with dread when I realized that I had to go even further inside Petaling Street to find food. And that fear came to pass quickly.
The new station is not the same as the my old hunting ground of Brickfields. The night seemed darker and more foul. Even when I started to venture forth from the station to find food, the feeling of danger was higher. I could have entered the nearby Chinese Temple but all sort of bells were ringing in my head. Instead I raided some of the older building for food.
