Doomsday

Dr. Who soundtrack. Doomsday. I still remember the episode this played during, back in second season of the new series. "Journey's End"

When people go different ways.

Dissappearing

It feels like I'm disappearing, dissolving into my community again. I keep busy with physical work, I try not to let myself get distracted....I miss art, sometimes. Sorry I haven't been around much. Harvesting and working and weeding and putting up new shelters keeps me busy, and I lose track of time.

Speaking of time, it's August 15. Happy birthday, me. 18 today. Not that it means much anymore.

I have music I'm going to put up. A song from a TV show I used to love, that makes me think a lot about what's all happened. About the people I've lost and the people I've found. About life and everything. I'm sure it's not gonna mean much to most people...but it means a lot to me.

Wait. Shoot. How do you put videos on here?

To Go Back

To go back to the past
Would you be up to the task?
To play Pastwatch: Redemption
If there was the temptation?
What would you tell them
What would you do?
How could you explain to them
In a way that rang true?
"No such thing as the walking dead"
they may say
"Please let them know to aim for the head"
you might pray
But to go back
Put time on the rack
...what would you do?
What could you do?

If I could go back in time
I know I would...it doesn't rhyme.

And Now, Freestyle

The storm has passed
But dusk is coming
The sky is striped
Blue and pink-orange
Like cotton-candy fingerprints
Replacing clouds
But
It all fades
into
violet
and gray
The leaves are green
Now blue
Then gray, too
Then black
The light's going down
But
The storm has passed
If we make it to dawn
I swear
I'll have your children
I'll raise them well
Like
I should have done
before
Night is here
But it will get darker
Before dawn comes
The storm has passed

What The Fart?!

It was sunny not a half-hour ago.

Why am I ankle-deep in water, standing in the driveway, right now? Jesus, somebody could drown just standing out here.

The weather has gone crazy. I request that somebody figure out how to use weather satellites, if any are still operational, or weather radar, to give us some warning.
