Old haunts.

Being out in the open again after what seemed like an eternity underground is rather unnerving. The heat of the sunlight and the vastness of everything make me stopped for moment. Only the shifting of the shadows and the eerie feeling of being watch sprung me into action. The first thing that I did was to look for my old hideouts again.

The stations are still there, a silent memory of a long time ago but as soon as I tried to thread the suspended tracks again, I found the fallacy of the action. A year is not too long but in the tropical weather, the heat and the rain could pose a problem on all things especially when there is no humans around to repair them. Some of the tracks began to show sign of ruins, cracks and what not, but I had to go through. I managed to arrive at an empty monorail train just like what I had used to do a long time ago but as soon as I settle down to sleep, my mind began to race again.

I can no longer dilly dally. Unlike what I had underground, being above ground means that I don't have access to my own food supply. What ever that I could grab would not last me no more than a few days so I gave to explore and look for places with food.

At the very least, the sounds of the undead are far away in my old hideouts...
