Having blocked all the exit and entrances to the upper floor but most importantly the top penthouse, I began to turn my attention to the food massing. The small garden, promised to the hotel as a green paradise in the middle of the city according to the brochures left behind, was more than enough for my usage. Getting the fruit seeds turn out to be hard. Just when I said to myself to avoid shopping malls, I had to make a trip back to the garden section to pick some seeds. Armed with my trusty sharpened shovel, I made a trip to a nearby shopping mall and had my greatest fear manifest itself. The power was out and the entire place reeks of death. I had to carefully maneuver though darkened corridors and slowly made my way to the seed. It was uneventful but all throughout the trip I was jumpy as hell. I was tempted to make a detour to the food section but at the very entrance I could detect a very bad odour coming from inside.
I returned to the garden and started to to work on it, using all the skill I once had tending to the gardens of my grandparent a long time ago. As soon as my trusty shovel hit the ground, I began to realize my problem.
The ground was too shallow.
