I was in my apartment with my girlfriend when I first heard the news about the outbreak. We're in a basement apartment with bars over the fogged windows, so I think we'll be ok for a while. Although the chipped wood around my door lock is a little disconcerting. The news said to stay inside and to conserve food and water. We filled anything that could hold water. All I can do is sit tight and try to tell Sarah that everything will be fine, but I don't really think this is going to simply just end.

Needs? / Assistance?

It's been a week since we were told to sit tight. The water was shut off about two days ago. I occasionally see a zombie walk past our windows. The last time I saw anyone living outside was a guy that ate his gun on top of a UPS truck surrounded by the zombies. We can't stay here. The Emergency Broadcasts never gave a plan, I think they weren't ready for this either. There's only one place that I can think of that can provide some long term protection. My father used to take me to this place in Southie, Castle Island. It's a castle by the ocean with two points of entry, both are very narrow and could be built for defense. We're going to try to get to the Christian Science Center since we have some work going on there, including a shop box of tools and a forklift. Forks run on propane which isn't as easy to find as gasoline, but no one will be looking for propane. Also I can use the forks to move cars in case the roads are blocked. Once I'm there I need to figure out the best route to Southie from there. The only thing I need to do now is get us out of here. Hopefully we can find a car with the keys in it or something. If anyone in the area reads this-Castle Island is a sure thing! It can be protected, we can fish for food, there's land to grow crops, and room for literally hundreds of people there. Find us there.
