what we know:

in late april of this year, a brand new disease came to the western hemisphere after appearing in Malaysia and then France. within two weeks of it's first appearance people in Madison, Wisconsin were displaying symptoms of what had by then been dubbed "Malaysian Rabies". within a few days after it's appearance in the states, the government started pulling troops back from other countries and before two weeks had passed, the president declared military rule to try to stop the disease from destroying the entire country ...

... but it was too late.
